Jessica's path also belongs to a larger Nigeria-Japan basketball story that is starting to show up across NCAA women's basketball. Stephanie Okechukwu helped make the pathway visible at Texas Tech after her own journey connected Nigeria, Japan, and the NCAA. Gift Uchenna graduated from Japan's Kochi Chuo High School before becoming a double-double machine at Southern Illinois and Wisconsin. And Uche Izoje, one of Jessica's former high school teammates in Japan, became the 2026 ACC Rookie of the Year at Syracuse.

Horizon · Aspirations

Aspirations

On June 22, 2026, Jessica was invited into the Team Nigeria national team pathway. Nigeria is not just her home country. It is one of the top women's basketball programs in the world, ranked No. 8 globally and No. 1 in Africa by FIBA in 2026.
